Wonderful. I think you'll find me to be a very helpful assistant and eager student.

If I recall correctly, you haven’t missed too much in the last few days. If you have any questions, though, most people are happy to answer them.

Everyone seems more-or-less friendly.

Even if it’s someone that doesn’t seem particularly friendly, they’ll probably answer your questions anyway. The prickliness is often deceiving.

Prom dates are mandatory.

Mandatory dates at a work function is just about the silliest thing I’ve ever heard.
