Join us as we officially welcome this year’s intern cohort to TEA with a company-wide celebration! This is a work party, with a costume theme of
Eras Prom.
It is held in the largest function room of the Community Center, decorated in a patchwork of eras — gilded mirrors reflect the light from disco balls, while Roman-style columns are wrapped in 1980s neon streamers and fairy lights shaped like pocket watches. A banner above the DJ booth reads
Time Is What You Make It. In front of the DJ booth is a small dance floor, but the music is playing at a low enough volume that conversation is still easy — this is meant to be a chance for new interns to meet and network with TEA staff, after all.
Main Features:
🎧 Music provided by DJ Chronos (a.k.a. Department of Present staff member, Eli Tran), spinning hits across the centuries, even managing a seamless transition between Vivaldi and Kendrick.
🍽️ Themed Refreshments including:
- Victorian tea cakes & cucumber sandwiches
- 1950s-style punch bowls (alcoholic and non)
- 1970s cheese fondue station
