It's only sometimes necessary. Often, he agrees to things very quickly. His protests are so short-lived, it's almost as if he doesn't mind at all.

That's why I left it to your charming selves to talk him into going to a musical and wearing a jumpsuit. If I tried he'd get all contrary.
